Private individuals: We will confirm lessons by e-mail or in-person in advance when booked. Students commit to a minimum of 4 X1 hour lessons per month to make progress, and due to demand we cannot always guarantee keep your time slot available to you if you start to cancel on a regular basis. If necessary, lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled but this must be over 24 hours before the lesson is due to start. Cancellations within 24 hours for any reason will mean the lesson is lost from your package of lessons or will be charged for on 'pay as you go' courses.
Tutors will wait a maximum of 10 minutes (online or in person) for students to come to class. The waiting time will be lost from the lesson time. Students should aim to study for a minimum of 4X1 hour lessons per month (holidays are the exception). Students who take regular lessons at regular times will have priority when it comes to lesson scheduling and availability.
Private Clients: You may stop lessons at any time, but if you stop or have an unreasonable delay during a course of lessons you will lose the remaining sessions (packages). 'Pay as you go' students may stop at any time with a minimum 24 hours’ notice. We reserve the right to stop teaching students who display an immature, disrespectful or poor attitude to learning.
Corporate Clients: One month’s notice is required for termination of group courses. One week’s notice is required for termination of 1:1 sessions.
Refunds will not be given as there is an initial paid-for assessment lesson without obligation to continue (lessons in person or online), and students have plenty of time to consider whether to study with us. Lesson prices include lesson preparation, most resources, and some regular marking, but do NOT include marking of extensive coursework or work for public exams. Exam fees are not included.
Cancellation of lessons by the tutor
Your tutor will try to be available for all lessons but there may be occasions when your tutor is unavailable due to illness or trips and will cancel only as a last resort.
